x ACCIDENT PRONE
one of the clumsiest people you will ever meet, Jax is used to having a lot of space to move around, having grown up in the countryside, and thus has a tendency to bump into things and other people while walking down the street. he even broke his arm once falling out of his dorm window in an attempt to free one of his birds before he could get caught with a pet on school grounds. though he may be clumsy, he enjoys playing the guitar and is quite good at it, too. unfortunately, not many of his friends have a taste for country music.

bad at school, philosophy, and basically anything else that involves a lot of deep thinking, Jax simply doesn't have the patience to sit around all day solving problems. he's a stereotypical jock and would rather be outside with his friends than cooped up with a math quiz all day. never having been especially intelligent, while he can keep up an entertaining conversation, he wouldn't be able to help you if you wanted to know the 44 presidents or when the Revolutionary War took place. basically, he's not the person to go to for answers.
x SAY WHAT
when Jax doesn't understand something, most of the time he'll just pretend that he does to avoid the embarrassment of seeming stupid. he knows he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and the fact that he's been told this several times hasn't helped either. the kid would prefer to just smile, nod, and deal with the consequences later than admit to being intellectually challenged.
x HELL TO THE YES
yes. it's exactly as it sounds. Jax doesn't know how to say no. even if he feels uncomfortable with what's being asked of him, or is concerned about the consequences, if he thinks it's something you really, absolutely, must have done, he'll agree to it just to make you happy. he's a people pleaser, and even some of his friends take advantage of his push-over attitude and manipulate him.
x DEVIL IN DISGUISE
sometimes Jax likes to pretend he's a lot more badass than he actually is, which will probably involve some mild dressing up on his part, shades included. although he's got a wide social circle, even his friends make fun of how dumb he is, which causes him to throw on an 'I'm cooler than you think' act around strangers. if it's his first time meeting you, he'll try to leave the impression that he knows what he's doing, but if his facade is pointed out, he'll be quick to laugh it off and admit that no, in fact, he's actually quite stupid.
√ PASSIONATE
when it comes to the things Jax truly enjoys, he becomes quite full of fervor. he has a bit of an obsession with birds and has had several that all either died off, escaped, or he was forced to release due to the dorm staff finding a trail of feathers leading to his room. his passion for music isn't so much because he hopes to be a musician, but rather that anything he can't say aloud gets expressed through song. guitar is his go-to instrument, but he's also fiddled with the trumpet (although that didn't go too well). as far as people go, Jax hasn't had too many great love interests of his life, but when he sets his sights on someone, well. let's just say he's hooked.

always that bright face in the crowd, Jax is willing to talk to just about anyone that walks up to him, even if you're a weird, six foot tall stranger buying candy while your van is parked out back. his disregard for background, appearance, and overall disposition may come off to some as a severe lack in judgment, but Jax just likes to call it being friendly. even if you're shy and not all that interested in having a conversation with someone you don't know, Jax'll overstep all social boundaries and go out of his way to say good morning to you and learn your name. it's that odd thing about him, that he concerns himself with others even when they might not have ever noticed him before (although it's practically impossible to miss someone that noisy).
√ GOOD HANDS
if you're his buddy, Jax will have your back no matter what. although he tends to be the peacemaker, if it comes to a fight he won't just stand there and watch his friend get beat on. his beliefs are built upon the concrete values of loyalty and faithfulness, and he never gives up on a comrade because he knows they would never give up on him. that's why betrayal hits Jax hard, and although he's quick to forgive, it'll be incredibly difficult for him to trust someone again after leaving himself so vulnerable. he's a good guy and stands up for his buddies, so anyone who grows close to him should consider themselves in good hands (ha, see what I did there?admit it, you thought the title for this section was a sexual innuendo).

it's unbelievably difficult to kill Jax's buzz or burst his bubble. he's so happy-go-lucky that most people give up within the first few minutes and simply accept that no, you cannot make Jax cry because he's too thick to realize you're trying to hurt his feelings. he doesn't know when to stop talking, and tends to blabber even more so when embarrassed, which is actually strangely endearing. so when you put Jax in a large group of people, he gets loud fast and will often try talking to multiple bodies at once. the result? no one has a clue what the hell he's talking about.

possessing a totally NONpedo love for kids, Jax adores the miniature people and was very popular with the underclassmen in his hometown, watching out for both the toddlers and elementary students. he was often called on to babysit for his neighbors and never turned down a chance to play with the little ones. their imaginary worlds always fascinated him, and he was quick to go along with whatever stories they concocted. Jax is very much protective of the younger generation and is quick to take responsibility for lost children and his friends' little siblings or cousins. around kids his own age, he may seem immature, but he is very much an older brother figure and plans on having many children of his own some day.
